Sacrament of Reconciliation Preparation  2008

Thursday, Sep. 27^th      Parent Meeting                       6:30-7:30 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 1^st          Parent Meeting                       7:45-8:45 p.m.    
 Parents who are interested in preparing their child(ren) to receive the
Sacrament of Reconciliation, especially 4^th grade parents, must attend
one of these meetings in order to receive an overview of the preparation
and also to participate in discussions about the central message of forgiveness
in Jesus’ teachings.

week of Oct. 8           Lesson 1 – The Trouble with Three Friends
week of Oct. 15        Lesson 2 – We Keep God’s Commandments
week of Oct. 22        Lesson 3 – We Can Act Like Jesus
week of Oct. 29        Lesson 4 – Jesus Teaches Us to Forgive
week of Nov. 5         Lesson 5 – Jesus Gives Us the Holy Spirit
week of Nov. 12       Lesson 6 – I Prepare for First Reconciliation

Tuesday, Dec 2^nd      Reconciliation Mini-Retreat   7:00-8:00 p.m.
Parents and their child(ren) will share some games, and activities to help
them better understand the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Completed
workbooks and Shalom Boxes will be collected on this day.  A parent
must attend with their child(ren).  Fourth grade classes (4:15-5:30 p.m.)
will be cancelled on this day to allow you to attend the retreat.

Thursday, Dec. 4^th      Advent Penance Service   7:00 p.m. 
Copies of several different Acts of Contrition will be
available for you and your child to use.  Your child’s
workbook and Shalom Box will be returned on this day.
