Dear Parents,

            Thank you for registering your child(ren) in our Faith Formation program(s) for this year.  As
your child(ren)’s parent, you are the primary catechist for your child(ren).  We are happy to help you
in nurturing your child(ren)’s faith and passing on the Catholic tradition. 

           Please read the general policies concerning our Faith Formation programs for children and
youth, and the application procedure for volunteer Liturgists, Catechists, and Youth Ministers.  Refer
to the calendar(s) for the Faith Formation program(s) in which your child(ren) is/are enrolled.  You can
find the calendars on our web-site www.saintbarts.com.  Please take a moment to jot down these dates
on your family calendar or find an esteemed place for it on the refrigerator in order to remind you of
when we will be meeting this year.  Please remember that parents are invited to the first session of
Faith Friends (grades 2-4) on September 18^th 4:15-5:30 pm, to the first session of Good News
Disciples (grades 5&6) on September 19^th 4:15-5:30 pm, to the first session of Jr. YM (grades
7&8) on September 16^th between Masses, and to the YM luncheon on September 9^th after the
11:30 am Mass.  We encourage you to get involved in your children’s faith formation whether it’s as
a catechist, facilitator, or chaperone.  We also always need parents to help drive, provide refreshments,
coordinate service projects, create bulletin board displays, and take pictures.  So, we encourage you to
get involved in the various action committees for each program.  Those parents who have chosen to
home school their children this year will meet on Sunday, Sep. 16^th after the 11:30 a.m. Mass for
a distribution of materials and a brief overview of the curriculum.

As always, we look forward to having a fruitful year of spiritual growth with your child(ren)
starting in September.  If you have any questions concerning this year’s Faith Formation program(s),

summer vacation and give us a healthy start to the new school year.
