St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Scarborough is one of the fastest growing parishes in southern Maine.We currently have approximately 1,700 registered families, numbering almost 5600 members. Our median age is 36. We are the first and only Roman Catholic Church in the town of Scarborough, established in 1988.
The church is named after St. Maximilian Kolbe who was a Franciscan Priest and Martyr (1894- 1941).
MISSION STATEMENT: United with the Catholic tradition, the Parish of Saint Maximilian Kolbe is a community of the faithful deeply committed to witnessing the gospel of Jesus Christ in love and action so that the lives of those touched by the Parish may take on the Person of Christ.
