Message from Deacon Brennan:

Thank you for taking the time to visit St. Bartholomew's site on the World
Wide Web.

As we continue with the design of our site, our hope is that we will be
able to utilize the Internet to keep you updated on the events and
happenings within our parish.

You'll notice that our site also includes a linkage to a number of Catholic
directories. Accessing these directories will enable you link up with the
worldwide Catholic community on the Internet, and to locate more than
5,000 Catholic web sites that are currently online.

The Internet is further proof that technology, properly utilized, can advance
the honor and glory of God.

In fact, the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, that science and
technology are precious resources, if they are utilized and developed to
benefit all.

And, on World Communication Day, in 1989, Pope John Paul II said, "let
us pray for wisdom in using the potential of the computer age to serve man's
human and transcendent calling, and thus give glory to the Father from
whom all good things come."

The Internet has many wonderful resources on it that support our Catholic
faith. And, it can be a great tool for bringing Catholics together, and for
evangelizing the world.

Our hope is that the links that the St. Bartholomew Parish has attached to
its website will be the gateway that helps you to connect with God in
cyberspace.

Please come back and visit us often.
