The Music Ministry at St. Bartholomew supports the broader mission and
vision of the congregation, but it focuses on particular ways to express
that vision through emphasizing music as a gift of God, and as a means of
worship, education, mission, and fellowship.
Glory Choir
for grades one through five, whose purpose is to instill the joy of singing
at
Praise and Honor Choir for grades six through twelve, brings their faith filled enthusiasm and harmonious song to the congregation for the greater glory of God.
Worship Choir for ages fifteen and up is a seasonal group of dedicated adults who enjoy music and who minister as a choral ensemble within the assembly. Membership is open to all youth and adults (high school and older) regardless of musical training. Regular attendance at rehearsals and liturgies is expected however.
Cantors are persons of faith dedicated to the ongoing study and awareness of the message of scripture expressed through song. Further, the cantor should have an understanding of the balance needed between prayerful Presence and the enthusiasm of sung praise. Through their leadership the community of faith is guided to a sacred place of prayer.

This ministry serves the pastoral care needs of the
elderly and homebound through Rosary and Scripture Communion services at
PRAYER LINE: St. Bartholomew Parish offers participation in a “prayer line” for special intentions. If you have an illness, unemployment, safety issue, etc., for which you would like prayers, these requests can be called into the prayer line. All intentions can be kept confidential. You can also join this ministry and share your devotion to the “power of prayer.” We are all able to experience the privilege of healing the sick according to Christ’s message.
Knit a shawl individually or within a group. Receive basic knitting or
crocheting instructions and prayers to get started. If you do not know how
to knit or crochet, we would be happy to show you how or perhaps, you can
donate some yarn to make a shawl. We need at least three skeins of yarn to
knit a prayer shawl. Prayer shawls are annually blessed at
